The Southport Sailing Foundation started its own sailing team, The Clever Pig Sailing Team, in November of 2010. The team is comprised only of sailors who have been awarded a grant from the Southport Sailing Foundation. The job of team members is simple: wear the clothing given to you by Southport Sailing Foundation, promote the CleverPig.org website when possible (i.e. include a link from your blog or website to Cleverpig.org, refer other sailors to the site, and when possible tell your sponsors and donors about the website), and act in a manner on and off the water that exemplifies good sportsmanship. In turn, Southport Sailing Foundation and CleverPig.org will help promote you and your sailing by publishing your blogs, regatta reports, photos and/or videos on the CleverPig.org website, on the CleverPig Facebook page and in our promotional materials. You will also receive publicity through our quarterly Clever Pig Updates and a special section on the home page of the CleverPig.org website that will be dedicated to the Clever Pig Sailing Team.
