CAMPAIGN SUMMARY
I have been racing sailboats of all types starting in a junior sailing program in NJ, and then moving onto intercollegiate sailing at the University of South Florida. I spent many years following college windsurfing, but have made my way back to racing sailboats again. I currently own and race a Nacra 20. My goal is to complete the Tybee500, a race from Key Largo Florida to Tybee Island Georgia on beachcats. This race is the spawn of the now defunct Worrell 1000. Last year I competed in this race as a crew on Team Cat Fever, and am looking forward to racing with my own team this year. In preparation for the Tybee, I have been doing many shorter distance races including the Key Largo Steeplechase, Space Coast 45, and Tampa's Macho Man.

9/26/08 - We are wrapping up our summer schedule of weekly training during the DIYC Thursday Night Sailing Series. While we are typically the only catamarn on the water for these events, it does afford us the opportunity to regularly practice starts, mark roundings, and work on boat handling, sail trim etc.

As October approaches we will be getting into a more arduous schedule of dedicated catamaran regattas. Hopefully all the practice over the summer will have paid off and will show in strong finishes through the first part of the season.
