\"There was never a great man who spent all his life inland.\" - Melville
Sailing has been a passion for me since day one. I grew up racing big boats in New England, starting on a Tripp 37 and moving through an array of classes, most recently working the bow of the Swan 42 Blazer. In high school, I captained the Brookline High Varsity squad, sailing two successful seasons that both resulted in Mass Bay League Championship wins and other victories. Most recently, my focus has been on the 29er campaign I run with my crew, Emmet Smith (Yale \\\\\\\'09). In 2008, we finished 3rd at Mid-Atlantic Championships and 15th at CORK/North American Champhionships. So far this year we have placed 2nd at East Coast Championships, 3rd at the Buzzards Bay Regatta and 2nd at Quebec Skiff Champs. We are hoping to place in the top ten at North Americans this year and sail in gold fleet at the 2010 Worlds in Grand Bahama. I\\\\\\\'m also hoping to start racing for the Tufts Sailing Team as a Jumbo this fall.
