| CAMPAIGN SUMMARY |
I am Reinier Eenkema van Dijk. My Dad first got me an optimist to sail when I was six years old and taught me on a lake right behind our summer house. When I was nine I joined Larchmont Yacht Club and began racing competitively.
Since then my sailing has improved greatly, I am now on a very competitive racing team called LISOT as well as the US National Team. I have been to many international events for the US, including the Continental North American and European Championships.
This year my main goal is to qualify for the US world team in optimist.
My future goals include, sailing either 470 or 49er in the Olympics as well as doing well in college team racing regattas. |
