Campaign Summary

I have teamed up with George Szabo to pursue our goal of making it to the Olympics in 2012. I have been sailing Stars for 18 years now and have an extensive background in Big boat sailing as well. I have competed in 3 America's Cups as well as many international big boat events. Recently, I just passed my captains tests and am just waiting to submit all the forms to the USCG for final approval.
This may be the last chance to go to the Olympics because the Star is possibly out of the 2016 games. Being 6 ft 5 inches and 250 Lbs makes it hard to compete in any other Olympic Class. No more heavyweights. We are currently 2nd and have to do very well in Perth later this year to achieve the #1 spot. Over the next three months leading up to the Worlds in Perth, I am going to hit the gym hard and do as much sailing as possible. Please check out my website and if possible make a donation to help with the costs. Thank you. Mark Strube

Made to Perth and am getting settled in. The boat is at the club now. We are heading down to put it together and go for a sail this afternoon. I had a very long flight and and was a little jet lagged and sore when I arrived. I used the Recovery Pump to help get my legs in working order again. If you would like to take a look at a new product to help recover and bring circulation back into your legs, go to: http://www.recoverypump.coma_aid=A11027
This thing really works. Our racing starts on the 11th of Dec and goes through the 17th. After that we will know the outcome of who will represent the Star in the 2012 Olympics. We are currently 2nd and have our work cut out. The weather here is beautiful. 70's to 80 and good wind. They call the wind the doctor, and when it comes in it really blows.
