Ian and I went to 420 midwinter on 14th through the 16th of February. The first day the wind was very light and it shifted a lot. We only got off two races. On the first race we got a 14th place, and on the second race we finished 5th but we got an OCS. On the second day it was about the same conditions (almost no wind and shifty), but we did not do as well. We had three races, in the first we got a 24th, in the second we got a 24th, and in the last race we got a 31st. Then on the last day it was blowing about 18 knots to gusts of 25. We had a little bit of trouble holding down the boat but the day was fun. We flew!! We got a 19th, a 20th, a 21st, and a Z flag. It was a fun regatta and it was a nice break from the cold at home!

Ian and I went to Orange Bowl this December. We did not do as well as we had hoped to, but we still had fun. On the first day it was pretty windy but by the third day the wind had died down and we had to wait until 11:30 to go out, on the fourth day the wind came back some and we went out on time. through out the whole regatta we got 12 races in and dropped 2 of the races that were not good. In one race we rounded the windward mark in third place, we then rounded the leeward mark in 9, but on the last upwind leg we went to the left side of the course but the wind shifted and went to the right side of the course so we finished the race in about 28th. Even though we did not do too well we still learned a lot, for example at the beginning we were having a hard time working the chop because we were not used to it, but by the end of Orange Bowl we knew how to work the chop a lot better.
